Maatjesproject Cocktail/Buddyproject Cocktail
Cocktail, het maatjesproject van het COC, brengt lesbische, homoseksuele, biseksuele en transgender (LHBT) asielzoekers in contact met Nederlandse LHBT’s. Door het organiseren van sociale activiteiten doorbreekt het maatjesproject het sociale isolement waarin veel LHBT-asielzoekers zich bevinden als ze naar Nederland komen. Je kunt je opgeven voor het project door een e-mail te sturen naar cocktail@cocdeventer.nl, onder vermelding van je naam en je woonplaats.
Cocktail heeft contacten met de AZC’s in Apeldoorn, Schalkhaar en Zutphen. Op deze AZC’s werken aandachtsfunctionarissen LHBTI met wie de coördinator van Cocktail regelmatig overleg heeft en doorverwijzingen krijgt. De coordinator zorgt voor en match met een Nederlands maatje. Naast het maatjesproject organiseert Cocktail ook bijeenkomsten voor LHBTI-asielzoekers uit de regio van COC Deventer.

Cocktail, the buddy project of the COC, brings lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) asylum seekers into contact with Dutch LGBTs. By organizing social activities, the buddy project breaks through the social isolation in which many LGBT asylum seekers find themselves when they come to the Netherlands. You can register for the project by sending an e-mail to cocktail@cocdeventer.nl, stating your name and place of residence.
Cocktail has contacts with the AZCs in Apeldoorn, Schalkhaar and Zutphen. Attention officers work at these AZCs. LGBTI with whom the coordinator of Cocktail has regular consultations and receives referrals . The coordinator provides a match with a Dutch buddy. In addition to the buddy project, Cocktail also organizes meetings for LGBTI asylum seekers from the region of COC Deventer.
Naast contacten met de AZC’s zijn er ook contacten met de andere Cocktail-afdelingen in Nederland en met de GGD en met vluchtelingenwerk in deze regio.
